TROY, NY – City officials have announced Troy City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, in observation of the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen on Monday, November 26, at 8:30 a.m.

The holiday schedule for City garbage and recycling collection is as follows:

  • Thursday, November 22 – garbage and recycling collection will be postponed
  • Friday, November 23 – garbage & recycling collection will occur as scheduled

Residents who normally receive Thursday morning pickup should place their garbage and recycling curbside Thursday evening for Friday collection. No bulk pickup will be available on either date.

Mayor Madden is reminding Troy residents to keep sidewalks adjacent to their property free of obstacles when placing garbage and recycling bins out for collection. Please help keep our community accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
