Troy Officials Issue Traffic Advisory for Oakwood Avenue

TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for Oakwood Avenue in the City of Troy, New York for water utility operations conducted by the Department of Public Utilities. Beginning 11:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, northbound lanes on Oakwood Avenue near the intersection of Hoosick Street will be closed to regular vehicle traffic. Northbound traffic on Oakwood will be detoured to 15th Street via Hoosick Street. One southbound lane of Oakwood Avenue will remain open to traffic. Work is anticipated to be completed by 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 1. The lane closures will remain in effect until work has been completed.
Motorists are asked to observe all posted traffic detours, watch for flaggers and use caution while traveling through work zones to ensure the safety of workers. Local emergency services have been notified of the traffic restrictions and lane closures. The City of Troy thanks everyone for their patience at this time while Department of Public Utilities crews work in the area of Oakwood and Hoosick Streets.
