TROY, NY — City officials released a video outlining progress on replacement of the State Street Parking Garage stair tower, located at the intersection of State and River Streets in historic downtown Troy. The former stair tower structure was demolished in January 2020.

Video update on stair tower construction is available here.

Reconstruction of the stair tower is part of a $1.15M infrastructure improvement project to update and modernize the State Street Municipal Parking Garage. The project includes maintenance upgrades, lighting, and improvements to vital components of the garage structure and driving surfaces to extend the life of the facility.

In December, the City issued a video update on demolition of the garage stair tower.

The City issued a traffic advisory for River and State Streets due to construction associated with the State Street Garage. The advisory remains in effect through Friday afternoon, March 5th.
