to Enhance Planning Board, Calls for Applicants
TROY, NY (July 30) – Mayor Carmella Mantello heard from various residents during the public comment section of previous City Council meetings and is now proposing changes in legislation to enhance the Planning Board.

The City of Troy is open for business, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead as we work together to build a thriving community.”
City Council Pro tem Majority Leader Tom Casey said, “I want to commend the administration for their dedication to incorporating community feedback into the legislative process. The revisions to the new Planning Board legislation reflect a collaborative effort to create a non-partisan and predictable framework that will benefit our city. I look forward to continuing our work together to make Troy an attractive destination and ensure a prosperous future for all our residents."
The changes to the legislation include confirmation that the Planning Board will evaluate applications that had been pending in front of the Planning Commission seamlessly, enacting attendance and training guidelines, and adding two alternate members.
