Eight members of the Troy Fire Department were honored for their first responder efforts at Hudson Valley Community College. On November 3rd, 2022 a female HVCC student was stabbed in the B3 parking lot. Members of the Troy Fire Department were quickly on the scene and administered life saving aid to the victim. Hudson Valley Community College Director of Public Safety Fred Alberti presented the firefighters with a plaque honoring their actions and Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello presented each firefighter with a certificate of commendation for their quick response and life saving work.
