TROY, NY – City officials have issued a traffic advisory for road closures and parking restrictions in downtown Troy for the weekly Troy Waterfront Farmers Market. Beginning Saturday, May 6th, and recurring every Saturday through October, the following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic:- River Street, between 3rd Street and State Street
- Broadway, between 3rd Street and River Street
- 2nd Street, between State Street and River Street
Parking restrictions will also be in effect every Saturday, 6:00am – 3:00pm, for the above referenced streets. Drivers are asked to observe all posted parking restrictions. Vehicles parked illegally will be ticketed and towed, both at the owner’s expense.
1st Street between River Street and State Street will be accessible using Frear Alley from State Street. Regular vehicle traffic will not be permitted through to River Street from State Street using Frear Alley. Free public parking is available at several city-owned lots and garages throughout downtown. Street parking is also free on nights and weekends.
