City of Troy Encourages Residents to Join Troy Clean Sweep

City News Posted on March 27, 2024

Troy, NY (March 27) – Mayor Carmella Mantello is encouraging residents to take part in the City’s annual Earth Week celebration.

Each April, various organizations throughout the city host cleanup events to help with the beautification of our community and preservation of our neighborhoods. This annual event helps unify the community under one common goal: a cleaner, greener Troy. This year, Earth Week is being celebrated from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday, April 28.

“We are so excited to be partnering with various businesses, residents, and organizations throughout Troy to create a cleaner, greener environment,” said Mayor Mantello. “Troy Clean Sweep is a week-long celebration that many of us look forward to each year. Our crews hit the ground running in January cleaning the streets as part of our Quality of Life Action Task Force, and I can’t wait to see everyone unite for the good of our community.”

Troy residents can make an impact on a neighborhood level, including:

    Participating in a small-scale cleanup

Adopting a park or other green-space with your neighbors

If you are organizing a neighborhood cleanup, the following complimentary items are offered to your group at the Knickerbacker Ice Arena, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM:
