Fiscal report filed on time by Mantello Administration highlights upward trends and continued positive improvements in the city’s financial condition.
Troy, NY (May 1) – Mayor Carmella Mantello today announced the City of Troy’s Annual Financial Report (AFR) has been filed with the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC). The document outlines improvements in the City’s financial condition.
The annual report, filed on April 30th, presents the unaudited results of the City’s financial condition for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023. The Mantello administration, which assumed office just this year, submitted their first AFR report on-time with the OSC.
Mayor Mantello said, “Thanks to the City Comptroller Dylan Spring and our team, in my first year as Mayor, we filed our AFR on time. The document shows that Troy is thriving and will continue to grow and prosper. My administration is committed to being transparent with where Troy taxpayer dollars are going and we will implement strategic and collaborative efforts to increase year to year revenue, implement cost saving measures and continue to improve services for Troy residents.”
The Mantello administration hit the ground running on Day 1:
- Improved services with existing budget
- Discovered back-owed funds to the city that were previously not recouped
- Began implementing and put back on track operational systems like Kronos and other fiscally efficient measures
