2024 SEASON A BANNER YEAR FOR FREAR PARK GOLF COURSE
TROY, NY (Nov 12) – Mayor Carmella R. Mantello announces the Frear Park Golf Course will be closing for the season tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at dusk.
“The time has come for the golf course to close for the season tomorrow. We really had a tremendous season with the earliest opening in recent memory and staying open the latest we have in years. We had a record number of play this year. Numerous new groups have traveled to play the course and enjoyed it immensely and are eager to return in 2025.
Our leagues have spoken glowingly about the course conditions and how much they appreciate the city's efforts in making Frear Park Golf Course what we always knew it could be.
Huge shout out to Josh Buell, Golf Course Manager, Greg Tudor, Golf Superintendent, Kevin Graber, Recreation Supervisor, Joe Mazzariello, General Services Commissioner, and the Frear Park team.
We are excited about how the 2024 season turned out and are beyond excited for the 2025 season.”
