Nine new Firefighters sworn in
On Friday, February 23rd, Mayor Mantello swore in nine new firefighters to the Troy Fire Department. These brave firefighters have answered the call to serve our community and keep our residents safe.
Two members are currently serving as EMT’s in the Capital Region. One is leaving his former career at FedEx, two members have family ties to the Troy Fire Department, Avery Pascucci is the grandson of former Assistant Chief Nick Pascucci, and he has two uncles who are retired members of the department as well.
Brett Sullivan joins his brother Dan who is already on the staff. One new member has ties to the Troy Police Department, Caden Slagen is the son of Ty Slagen, an Officer with the Troy Police Department.
Two of the recruits are cousins, Bryan Seabury and Michael Deeb. Finally, one member of this class is leaving his job at the state where he worked protecting families and children.
