TROY, NY (Nov 22) – Today, the City of Troy received delivery of a new Sutphen 2024 HS -8043 Pumper. The new Fire Engine will replace the current 2009 Engine 3 located on Campbell Avenue on the city's East Side. The new engine was ordered in January of this year and the short turnaround time allows us to update or aging front line apparatus. The Engine is equipped with a Q-Max 2000 Gallon Per Minute Pump and has other features that will be valuable for the crews assigned to Engine 3 and its response district. This is the first of two Engines that have been ordered from Sutphen Corporation and we expect delivery in the fall of 2025 for the next. The cost of this Engine was $945,000.
