TROY, NY – Sanitation, a division of the City of Troy's Department of Public Works (DPW), announced that trash and recycling services will continue through Memorial Day. The federal holiday will be observed on Monday, May 29th this year.
Troy Sanitation collects and disposes of approximately 14,000 tons of municipal solid waste per year. They collect from the 17,000 residential households and approximately 3,000 business properties in the city per week in a safe, efficient and sanitary manner.
